Since its establishment in 1996, our association has constantly supported
scientific research in the transplant of umbilical cord blood stem cells as a
cure for leukaemia and other metabolic disorders.
The organization of shows, concerts, auctions and other events is a chance to
raise funds for research and contribute to an increase in the number of
umbilical cord blood stem cell banks in Italy. By permitting the use of our
congress halls for meetings and scientific conventions we hope to inform and
awaken public opinion with regard to the enormous potential of umbilical cord
blood stem cells.
At the moment we are particularly committed to encouraging new mothers to donate
their baby’s cord blood to a public bank rather than store it privately for
their own use. "Donating umbilical cord blood is far better than keeping it
for your own use"
To raise funds, "Abbazia di Spineto incontri e studi" distributes the book
