The
accommodation
for Spineto Abbey meeting and study participants is divided between the main convent building and the twelve satellite units - foresteria and farmhouses - scattered across the estate's 800 hectares, a total of 97 rooms distributed as follows:

Comfortable and spacious communal areas are available for guest’s use in all of the facilities.
All the rooms have en suite bathrooms.
The rooms have been furnished with a tasteful combination of antique and modern furniture. No two rooms are alike and the owner’s personal touch ensures that guests enjoy the sensation of being completely at home in a house belonging to friends.
The swimming pool
: each house has an outdoor swimming pool which can be used from 15th May to 15th Oct.
The sauna
: is available on request in the main convent building.
Breakfast
: a member of our staff will provide breakfast in the abbey, foresteria and in each of the houses, according to the schedule requested by the organisers.
Newspapers
: will be delivered every morning before eight o’clock.
Transport from one building to another
: the estate is covered by a network of dirt roads and lanes which guests with cars may use. Please drive carefully in order not to disturb wildlife. If requested, a shuttle service with an eight seater minibus can be provided.
Refreshment/Catering
From the early hours of the morning the abbey kitchen is busy preparing home-made biscuits and cakes for the coffee breaks, more cakes and pastries for the afternoon tea break, lunch, cocktails, evening meals and gala dinners. Our cooks prepare the meals dedicating time and care as in times gone by.
They offer traditional meals and meals made following ancient recipes, always using fresh products in season.
Jams and preserves are made from fruit grown on the estate, pasta is home-made, the wood-fired oven is often lit to bake bread and “focaccine” or to roast joints, the abbey produces its own extra-virgin olive oil and the estate’s Cinta Senese pigs provide meat for home-made cured pork products.
Menus are carefully planned taking into consideration guest’s needs.
At the request of the organizers, meals for those on special diets can be prepared and dishes suitable for vegetarians are always available.
Moreover, we will be happy to prepare special dishes for those suffering from food allergies or intolerances, provided that we receive sufficient notice.
