take an active part in all activities and procedures concerning the protection of the environment e.g. choice of detergents, selective waste collection;

subsequent to the initial proposals, constant monitoring of the quality of the environment and supervision of the services offered;

use the best technology available to safeguard the soil, the water table and the ground-water. Reduce the amount of water used and lower levels of pollution. e.g. installation of plants for biological purification in all the structures. Use of electric cars for transport inside the estate;

promote energy efficiency and conservation in particular the use of renewable energy sources. e.g. installation of photovoltaic solar panels since January 2008, installation of motion sensor lights and electronic timers;

evaluation of the possible negative effects on the environment of any new project;

search for ecological solutions to any problems arising on the estate including those involving outside firms working for us;

prevention and preparedness aimed at reducing the risk of environmental accidents and disasters;

emergency procedures in collaboration with the competent authorities to limit any eventual damage in the event of accidents.

The certificate issued by CSQ/IMQ-CSQ dated 2010-02-18 confirms that Tenuta di Spineto s.a.s has implemented and mantains an Environmental management system which fulfills the requirements of the standard ISO 14001:2004, for the following field of activities: Design, conferencing management including hospitality and catering located in the following site Abbazia di Spineto and garden, meeting room, aviary, guest house and 11 restored country houses.
